Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it ~ Mark Twain

For behold the winter is past
The rain is over and gone
The flowers have already appeared in the land
The time has arrived for pruning the vines
And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.
The fig tree has ripened its figs
And the vines in blossom has given forth their fragrance,.
Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along!
Song of Solomon

My Silly Spandy

I have 3 cats and one of them is by fair sillier than the others. Spandy is the one stretched out as long as he can. You never know where you are going to find him sleeping or what he is going to do. He is the only one of our cats who likes to swing.

Happy Spring!

I spent the first day of Spring as I do most first days of spring ~ inside a classroom teaching 8th graders. Birdman, however, got the mower out for the first time this year, started up the Miata, and started working on getting the garden ready. It was 83 today, the warmest beginning of spring I can remember.

New Guys Keep Appearing

Either these things are multiplying over night or someone has been busy doing pipe cleaner art.

Why I Love Teaching

In my room I had several little colorful pipe cleaner men hiding in obscure places. It was like playing "Where's Waldo" trying to find all of them. Thanks Kenny and Wade! You made my day!
